Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to install and does the job The stove guard is easy to install and is adjustable to cover different width stove fronts. It is easy enough for the adult to remove wen it isnt required, which leaves the three anchor pieces only adhered to the bench or stove. This is good because it does protrude a bit and you tend to bang into it when passing otherwise. We are actually using it to protect our inquisitive dog from burning her nose, and I'm not sure if it would withstand a determined older human child pulling it off if they were tall enough, but presumably a child would not be left alone in a kitchen with a hot stove anyway, and as mentioned previously you can remove it when not required. But as long as it was installed at a wide enough setting so they could not reach around the side, it would prevent a child easily grabbing a hot pot or the hotplate surface so I think its a great idea. I'm only withholding one star because of my hesitation with how well it would survive an older child pulling on it, but I am happy with it for our purposes.
